Stone-ground success
CLIENT: City of Bristol College/PiONKA'S Chocolate (Concept work)
CHALLENGE: Create new brand identity and packaging for PiONKA'S to better communicate its unique proposition and to better protect the product.
RESULTS: I received a Distinction for this project and was recognised for the innovativeness of the pack's structural design.
I began by conducting research around: PiONKA's, its equities, its category and competitors and packaging specifications. From this research, I discovered that PiONKA's traditional production methods are a big part of its delicious flavour. I also learnt that a bold colour front face on a pack stands out well at shelf.

I decided to use the rolling stone shape centrally on the package in order to communicate its unique, quality charachteristics and also add standout at shelf.

I developed the structure and graphics through rounds of review and feedback from my tutor - from initial sketches to prototyping.
Looking across a row of the products on shelf, the isolated segment would appear to roll - reiterating the product's unique equities.

The final pack achieves my original goals of effectively communicating PiONKA's brand equities and provides better protection for the product.
